Diet: Before my 7kg weight loss – How much of a difference it makes!! Wengie

photo-5

I was going through my photos and found one that really showed me before my diet. This was only taken like a year ago but wow, I’m so glad I went on my diet!!

I almost forgotten what I used to look like and looking back at this photo again both me and my bf don’t remember me being like this round, I guess when you look at yourself everyday someones you don’t notice the difference or anything, and yea you just get used to how you looked.
This photo was taken when I was about 49kg which was the heaviest I’ve ever been! I’m now 42kg and you can see how much of a difference 7kg’s makes on a small 158 cm frame, especially most of my fat goes to my face first and my tummy πŸ™ so you can see the hugest difference in my face and cheeks omg!!
I did a double take.
So now for the reveal of this heavily requested before photo of my weight loss..it’s def not a flattering photo but I guess it’s for the greater good for you guys πŸ™‚ Maybe motivate you to eat healthy and lose some unwanted weight!!
Just want to say before I show the photo I lost my 7 kilo’s safetly through eating more veggies, smaller portions and cutting out junk food. I got to this state because I was overeating and eating a lot of unhealthy fatty junk food and snacks (because my bf just moved in and he has a metabolism of a crazy person he can eat anything and stay skinny but I guess my body can’t keep up so I got big)

My typical daily diet was:

  • A big lunch where I buy something from outside (therefore portion size was too big)
  • Afternoon snack (sometimes like half a subway roll or a pie)
  • Dinner (which is usually topped with cheese or creamy sauce and portion size like a big plate and like 1.5 bowls of rice)
  • Packet of chips with avocado dip or like a bowl of noodles or rice.
THAT’S A LOT OF FOOD RIGHT??? I ate like this for a couple of months, no wonder why…
I guess your eating habits are largely influenced by who you live with and your friends so f you have friends that can eat everything and stay skinny, remember sometimes your body is different and you can’t have the same diet. I learnt this the hard way. Plus I’m getting older so you also get a slower metabolism naturally and slowly it will be harder to keep weight off.
Anyways…

Here…

We…

Go…

…definitely not proud of this period of life…
I also have blog posts from this time but omg I heavily photoshop so much that you won’t even recognise the original image.
The best thing I did was start eating healthy…also cut down a lot of photoshop time…like ALOT!! So I guess losing weight also helped me save time on my blog posts πŸ™‚
Anyway…it was a shameful time hopefully this photo will remind me never to repeat again.
Also sorry for the lack of shout out this week, I’ll do a double shout out next week when I’m back in Sydney πŸ™‚

Learn from my mistakes

So I hope this photo has motivated you to eat more healthy, I have also written a lot of posts sharing what I learnt from my weight loss journey:

The Meal Plan – Comprehensive Guide on what to eat.
If you are interested in finding out how you can apply this principles in this article to your daily life please don’t forget to check out my food plan e-book! Click here

Hope you guys join me into healthy eating!! Although I feel like a hypocrite since I’m holiday eating (when you’re on a holiday you eat out everyday and it’s usually not healthy)
But it’s ok to treat yourself once in a while :)!!! I’ll get back to healthy once I’m back home.
Muah!!

Oh my gosh I totally can relate to this because I went through a fat chubby stage too. I'm 164cm and my highest weight ever was 125lbs which was 57 kg!! Now I am a healthy 48kg ^^ (105)
I would post my before and after photos too but I'm too scared. I cringe each time I look at my chubby photos T___T

Woah. You look so different! You look so great now! I guess I still have a bit more left to lose, but at least I've managed to already save a lot of photoshop time! xD
Photoshop is the main motivator to lose weight I swear! xD I used to spend like half an hour chopping bits of my face off!

Thanks for sharing this picture Wengie! I know it's hard to share pre-diet photos like this! πŸ˜€ β™₯

Wow! 49kg doesnt sound like much and I think you were already pretty at that weight, but this just shows that your looks depend a lot on how you are built. You obviously have a more petite body frame so a lower weight is pretty normal for you. πŸ™‚ And its awesome and inspirational to see what a difference a few Kilos can make! <3

Wow you are soooo petite and what I call "fun size" it's a good thing you must be so cute :)!!! The easiest way to get to where you want is to eat more vegies :)!! Bell peppers, cabbage, carrots, spinach are all great for you and low in calorie :DD

I'm sorry but I sincerely don't understand why you're so hung up on 49 kg….if I was 49 kg I would be happy. I'm only about 6 cm taller than you and I'm 60 kg. I really cannot comprehend how you can feel that you were fat. It just feels a little insulting. But I guess small frames come with small body fat expectations. I'm considered skinny where I live. I just don't understand

I do like your blog and all your videos though.

Hi LySsA :)!! I understand how you feel, I guess what you have to consider is everyone is different, me being 49 kgs and someone else being 49 kg's can be so difference due to how much your bones weigh and how you are built. Someone with more muscle and heavy bones can look fit and lean at 49 kgs while someone with a small bone mass and no muscles can look chubby.

Also your expectations of how you are comes from what you want yourself to be in your head and everyone's different. I feel I am fat when I am fatter then what I was for a very long time (or what I got used to seeing in the mirror for 20 years e.g. I'm naturally 40-42kgs anyways)

It's all about what your standards are yourself etc as to whether you feel happy with your body πŸ™‚ That being said if you are gaining weight because you are eating unhealthy food (like I was) it's a habit you should be breaking regardless of how you look πŸ™‚ And thats what I did. In no way did I ever starve myself or do fad or crash diets. I just did research and changed my diet to include more low calorie vegetables etc πŸ™‚ Even if I didn't lose weight it would have been better for my body. But my body responded by losing weight because it was holding onto these ugly fat and toxins it wasn't used to holding on :)!!

Just because you're 60kg's and 6cm taller does not make you fat at all, you'll know what your body is comfortable with and you're the best judge. As long as you're eating healthy it shouldn't be a problem :)!!

Wow, you've gotten so far! And it's surprising that you were able to achieve such an amazing figure with just a diet. I have a problem though. I'm 17, 160 cm, and 49 kg's. I wanna get down to 45 kg's. I exercise a lot..mostly cardio and Pilates. Since I started to lose weight, my stomach has shrunk a lot and I can't eat as much as I used to. I gain weight easily now, so the only way for me to effectively lose weight is eating less than 1000 calories..usually around 700, which I know is really unhealthy. I want to lose 3 kg by the time school starts, which is in 2 weeks. I thought I would follow the Pil Suk diet, but it consists of around 500 calories. Last time I ate that little, I got nauseous and I almost fainted at work. I don't want that to happen again, but I feel like I have no other option. Do I? What is your best advice for me? This is gonna be my senior year and I want to finally look and feel good. Thank you for all of your tips by the way. You're the best β™‘^^

Yeah, when you're small, a bit of weight makes a big difference. I'm taller than you at around 167cm but I'm so HEAVY at 65kg. It's the heaviest I've ever been. I want to be 50kg, which is what I was when I met my husband. These tips will be very useful! πŸ˜€

I think its awesome that you are promoting a skinny body through healthy eating habbits! I used to have a 'healthy' bmi of 56kgs at 166cm -.- I felt chubby and horrible and was drinking energy drinks, snacking on chips and lollies and eating way too many carbs at mealtime! I now weigh 46kgs just by trading the nasties fot fruit, veg and grilled fish and replacing my carbs with sweet potato and whole wheat pasta πŸ™‚ I still eat white potato sometimes but my family is irish so it can't be helped hehe.
